Megan Purtell: Dog-obsessed with a servant's heart

I cried with every adoption the first year that I started fostering rescue dogs. My tears were bitter sweet: I was excited and joyful for the pup and their new family, but knew that I would miss cuddling with them every day. I filled the hole in my heart by fostering another dog after that and each time it got a little easier. The joy I feel for my fosters and their new families as they cuddle and kiss for the first time continue to bring smiles to my  face every time still...even hundreds of foster dogs and almost a decade later. 

The emotion felt between a person and their pet is deep and unique. Preserving those feelings and memorializing special moments is something you can't achieve with a phone selfie. When you walk into a room and see art work of your dog on the wall, it brings you right back to exactly how you felt in that beautiful moment in time. Every dog has their own personality, expressions, quirks, and talents. My goal is to capture what makes each pet unique.

My expertise in communicating with dogs and knowledge of how to read their body language sets me apart from other photographers. I have invested over a decade in educating myself and working with dogs of every type. My natural ability to be calm and patient with them helps every pet feel comfortable and relaxed around me. This advantage helps me to bring out their real personality. We will have lots of fun interacting, playing, and enjoying ourselves so I can capture your best friend’s face with beautiful timeless artwork to decorate your home. By photographing those memories from a professional perspective, you will be brought right back to those emotional moments every time you see them on your walls.

My goal is to create beautiful memories for you to enjoy every day. Scheduling a Signature Session is a great starting point but many people don't do anything with their images. After one day of fame on Facebook and Instagram, the photos are buried somewhere on our phones or forgotten on a USB in a drawer.
