Each year, professional pet photographers around the world unite to raise funds for animal rescue. To date, the annual Tails of the World books have featured over 1150 dogs and raised over $95,000.
In 2024, our goal is to raise $70,000 with Tails of the World: Volume 3.

About: Canines & Kitties is a 100% volunteer, approved 501(c)(3), non-profit rescue organization. We are a foster-based rescue with our foster network spanning Northern Virginia, DC, Maryland, and PA. Our volunteers are dedicated to saving the lives of homeless and abandoned dogs and cats from high-kill shelters, and other high-risk situations. We have a special spot in our hearts for pregnant unwanted animals and strive to find them a safe foster home to birth and raise their young. Our volunteers are experienced in animal care, proper placement and provide assistance to our animals throughout the foster journey, adoption process and beyond.
